'Noche de Flamencos', Tribute to Timo Lozano, 7808 Dixie Drive, Houston, TX

The Houston Flamenco community has come together and hosting a very special evening of flamenco arts and other performing arts celebrating life and the here and now. The event is a fundraiser and a tribute for dance maestro Timo Lozano. He was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer two months ago and passed away on Sunday, August 24th. Timo was a friend to many in the Houston area and around the world.

This tribute to Timo and celebration of dance will take place in the beautiful garden space of the Fillingame residence under a very large gazebo. The historic home was the former Hidden Oaks Bed & Breakfast and garden wedding venue. The event starts at 6:30pm and performances start by 7pm until 10:30pm. A must for lovers and aficionados of the flamenco arts!

Many of Houston's performing artists, teachers and students will be performing: Lucia y Valdemar Flamenco; Flamenco Andaluz with Bianca Antonia, Marisol Monasterio, Liza Hernandez, and guitarist Daniel Olivarez; Escuela Flamenca de Lucia; Alan Laurence, guitarist; Janet 'La Paloma' Meza, dancer;The Flamenco Room, Patricia Davis; Martin Rodriguez, guitarist; Hierro Forjado with dancer Alexandra Simmons, La Baronesa; Leticia Sanchez, dancer & Houston Spanish Dance Co.; Susana Currie and Laura Robles; The Flamenco Poets Society; Danmar Dance Academy. We are honored to have Out of town guests: Antonio Granjero, dance maestro & Francisco 'Yiyi' Orozco, percussionist and singer; Aaron Hermes, percussionist; Juanlu el gaitero from Burgos, Spain.
